Böckmann attaches so much importance in designing special trailer models for even the smallest horses: trailers to take really good care of them. And trailers with at least as many design features as a “Big Böckmann”.

Standard Features: Duo Pony

The Duo Pony models are specially designed for two ponies. One of the most important things Böckmann has learnt in 50 years of developing trailers is that every horse has its own needs and demands. Even the smallest of them. At the same time, Duo Pony naturally has all the standards of the “big” Duo series and is every bit their equal. The Duo Pony does not come with a saddle storage.

Chassis:

A V-draw bar with side member chassis built from hot-dipped galvanized steel. The Duo rides on the Comfortable Suspension Chassis System (CFF- Plus) - an independent torsion suspension with added shocks for a smooth ride for the pony. An automatic jockey wheel mounted on an integrated lockable 2” coupler allows the rider to easily raise or lower the chassis frame for hitching purposes and moving the trailer by hand around the yard.

Body:

13-ply Finnish baltic birch Laminate side walls- 1500 mm high -covered in a weather proof coating in your choice of grey, silver, or anthracite/black and topped with a fibreglass silver roof. Different roof colours are available (accessory). The rear loading ramp has gas shocks as lifting assists. A step on rear ramp allows you to step up and control the canvas lift with integrated net. Single plastic fenders, two pop-out tinted windows, decoration stripes on the side wall, with a decor by Jan Künster, completes the look. All trailers for North America come with a mounted full spare wheel.

Internal Space:

The inner stall area is a bright white in both wall and roof colour. The rubber flooring is glued and sealed to the laminate floor beneath - so no urine and water can attack the floor. The laminate floor has a protective, robust PVC under coating to keep out water and salt. The loading ramp is covered with rubber integrated safety treads and side stops - preventing slipping in inclement weather. The Multi-Safe stall bar system + anti-panic stall system allows you to adjust height of the stall bars and the length of the stall. In an emergency the chest bars can be released from outside the trailer. The transparent PVC partition is mounted on tubular galvanized steel, and is easily swivelled left or right to accommodate a more open stall space for loading. Interior lighting is found in the stall area. Black lateral kick plates complete the inside stall walls.

At the same time, Champion Pony naturally has all the standards of the “big” Champion Pony series and is every bit their equal. The Champion Pony does not come with a saddle storage. The Champion Pony is shown in the upper left photo.

Böckmann anodised aluminum flooring provide strength and longevity. The trailer front is flat on the Champion Pony. Single plastic fenders, two pop-out tinted windows, decoration stripes on the side wall, with a decor by Jan Künster, completes the look. All trailers for North America come with a mounted full spare wheel.

The loading ramp is covered with rubber integrated safety treads and side stops - preventing slipping in inclement weather. In an emergency the chest bars can be released from outside the trailer. The chest bars have additional foam black bar padding. The transparent PVC partition is mounted on tubular galvanized steel, and is easily swivelled left or right to accommodate a more open stall space for loading. Interior lighting is found in the stall area. Black lateral kick plates complete the inside stall walls. There is no Saddle chest in the Champion Pony model.
